C5 Corvette Cadillac Brembo Wheel Clearance Database
When it comes to the C5 Corvette Cadillac Brembo swap, one of the biggest uncertainties currently is what wheels will clear the calipers. I'm going to attempt to document what worked and didn't work as best as I can here!
Known to work wheels:
Wheels that may work with spacers:
Apex SM10 ET 57 Wheels (Available here from Apex)
So these are the wheels I went with on my C5 corvette after not having any luck with my square 18x9.5 wagon wheel setup. These clear with no fuss at all, and were designed especially to clear big brake kits on Corvettes.
C5 "Wagon wheel" 18x9.5 rear wheels
So this is a pretty uncommon thing for folks to try, but at the time I was running a fairly budget setup of 4x 18x9.5 wagon wheel rear wheels on my Corvette. The car handled pretty decent with this actually, and I'd probably do this again on a budget street car. They did not however clear the rotors, as can be seen in the picture above. Supposedly you can make it work with wheel spacers but I never tried as I was upgrading to heavier duty wheels anyways.
Alcoa 18x10.5 rear wheels (2001 C5 Z06)
A gentleman named Jeff R. got ahold of me about installing the Caddillac Brembos. He did a killer job painting them and decaling them, but unfortuantely his wheel contacted ever so slightly on the exterior of the caliper. He was debating clearancing the caliper some to help it clear, but I mentioned how if wheel weights were placed there they could also clearance. Overall, it didn't seem feasible without a good chunk of clearancing. It may be possible with wheel spacers however!
C6 18x9.5 Wheel with 1" spacer
Scott N. on facebook shared this one. He was able to make this work by utilizing C6 18x9.5" wheels with a 1" spacer.
C5Z06 18x10.5 OEM Rear Wheels
Stephen Waite confirmed for me that the 18x10.5 OEM C5Z06 wheels fit over his Cadilac Brembos without any wheel spacing required!
